Engineering Lead Interview Experience

Process

The interview process included:

  • Recruiter screen
  • Online coding assignment
  • Hiring Manager interview, followed by one system design and one coding round.

I performed excellently in all interviews and received positive feedback from the interviewers during the sessions, yet I did not receive an offer. The only response was an email stating I left a positive impression on the team and possess a solid background and experience, with no further feedback provided.

I received an email from the recruiter with a link to schedule a feedback call, but the recruiter subsequently declined the call and never responded, not even via email. Furthermore, when scheduling the final round of interviews, the recruiter did not respond to my question about whether it was the final round.

I believe this company and its recruiters do not respect the time people invest in their interviews. Candidates who invest seven to eight hours deserve at least some feedback. This was a really bad experience.
