Pros: This is my first job out of college and I absolutely love it here. I work on challenging problems and often lead systems design on these projects. The people I work with are brilliant, and I learn a ton from them. Working in BET, I also get to learn a lot about how our business runs and how we're helping it grow. This is not something I expected when I joined, but it has been an unanticipated benefit. Beyond the work itself, HubSpot is a great place to be. The benefits are fantastic, and the company really cares about its employees.

Cons: A lot of growing pains, which I'm sure many companies experience. It often feels very siloed between departments, and cross-functional projects can be extremely difficult. The level of politics within the company as a whole has risen during my time here. Sometimes, it feels like we're doing things to placate people's egos rather than move the company in the right direction. But these are exceptions rather than the rule. It also feels like we love starting big new initiatives and then abandoning them without notice after about a month. We should have more follow-through or be more transparent about our focuses changing.

Pros: Good workspace during the pandemic. Inclusive.

Cons: Management issues, Young tech leads, Average food

Pros: HubSpot has an awesome engineering culture. I was lucky to get an internship there, and I'm enjoying it very much. The developers are very empowered and have good morale.

Cons: I sometimes feel like HubSpot is not solving an important problem. As an engineer, I would like to be helping improve the world through technology, and slick internet marketing is not exactly making the world a better place.
