The process began with a 30-minute call to the recruiter. For 15 minutes, I discussed my interest in the role and my relevant technologies. The recruiter then spent 15 minutes explaining the job responsibilities and benefits. The atmosphere was very laid-back and relaxed, with nothing to be worried about.
The next stage was a 45-minute Skype interview with the team manager, scheduled for American time. This was also quite casual. They mostly asked questions about my CV, how I used certain technologies, and how I had helped interns in the past. Be prepared: anything you bring up yourself is likely to be questioned. It's also important to have 3 or 4 questions ready to ask at the end, as they seem to appreciate this and enjoy discussing their company.
The third stage was a code challenge presented on GitHub. The requirements included:
Ensure the solution is responsive.
Where do your skills lie?
Are you open to keeping up to date and learning new technologies?
Whatever is on your CV will be asked about.
