HubSpot for me has been an extremely rewarding place to work. If you want to grow your career in a challenging environment where your hard work is actually acknowledged, then this is the place.
I have previously worked in a company where you literally just coasted and got your annual increase. People doing barely any work would get promoted just for time served, while the engineers actually doing the hard work had to just wait. Engineers at HubSpot are held to a high standard, and if you can meet it, then you can grow very quickly. On top of that, the development process is any autonomous engineer's dream.
Team culture is huge here; toxic cultures are quickly addressed if they crop up, and teams are encouraged to ensure their psychological safety is in focus at all times. Not all tech companies care this much about their employees' mental health; I really want to stress that. Burnout during the last year is a hot topic, and one that management is actively addressing with weeks of rest, mental health services, and encouraging teams to take time off and set realistic deadlines.
We’re scaling quickly, and not all the processes that worked when we were a small, tight-knit engineering team work as we grow. This is something we’ll want to address to set appropriate expectations.
Keep listening to feedback and actioning it!

The interview was a three-stage process. First, I had a quick chat with the recruiter. Then, I met with the hiring manager for more of a cultural screening – an "are we a good fit?" kind of interview. The final interview was approximately 4.5 hours
The interview process included: * Recruiter screen * Online coding assignment * Hiring Manager interview, followed by one system design and one coding round. I performed excellently in all interviews and received positive feedback from the intervie
