I've been at HubSpot about 10 months now, and although we're losing some perks like the smoothie bar and gym, it's far and beyond the best company I've worked at.
I came from another local CRM company that was much less transparent and Oracle, which was fun but stagnant. HubSpot is challenging but also does an amazing job of keeping the work interesting.
I've joined the culture and social committees here, and they do their best to keep everyone entertained with fun events to connect people both in and out of the office. We did a trip to a darts place recently that was fun for everyone involved and a great way to meet people.
The Chief People Officer, as well as all of the C-suite people, handled layoffs very empathetically with a huge severance that's mostly unheard of.
Hard decisions have been made recently, and the defense "we're still a tech company" has been thrown around, but given the emphasis on empathy, I can only imagine how hard it is to make those types of decisions, and I think they're really doing their best to make both employees and investors happy.
I'll update a year from now, but thus far, I think all the reviews are correct. I was sad when I got rejected from some other companies, but I'm so glad I did after I ended up here.
We also just had annual compensation meetings, and everyone in product seems to have gotten 5%+ increases, which is fairly amazing.
After the gym is gone, people in the office don't have many free options for gym benefits besides $300 via insurance.
Same with the smoothie bar, since it isn't being replaced.
That being said, I was low-key spoiled by them in the first place, so it feels weird listing them out as cons.
It also feels weird that some of the product-only events exclude helpdesk and other areas, but talking about it, it seems like that's an industry standard.
Keep doing your best. I hope to do my best with the rest of the company for a long time.
First round: Typical 30-minute chat with a recruiter to ensure you're not a crazy person or a bad fit. Second round: At-home coding exercise with a 3-hour time cap. Retrieve a set of raw data from a RESTful endpoint. The raw data represents client
The interview process after submitting the application consisted of three parts: * **Phone interview:** The recruiter asked about "Why HubSpot," salary expectations, and skills/experiences, while also answering any questions you might have. * **
Contrary to huspot's "Values," the process was not at all transparent. Recruiter responses were very slow. The interview was scheduled for a different team than I had applied for, but this was not clarified or informed a day before the interview. T
