Process
I was sent an online programming assessment, which they wanted me to complete at some point within the next two weeks.
Unfortunately, I received an email a couple of weeks later saying they were no longer hiring for the role, but I appreciated the update. In my experience, most companies will simply ghost.

Pros: I was given a lot of open-ended work to do in my areas of interest that allowed me to implement whatever solution I thought best. This let me expand my skill set significantly and allowed me to see the pros and cons of several implementations of a feature in real-world scenarios.
Cons: As IBM is a large company, your experience will vary from team to team, so take any review with a grain of salt.
