Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - India

Process

Don't waste your time, and reconsider joining this organization. I strongly advise against participating in any interviews here.

This organization's HR hiring management is among the worst I've encountered. I had shared my salary expectations prior to the interviews, but after the interview, IBM extended an offer with a significantly lower CTC than my current package. Not only was there no salary increase, but they also failed to match my current compensation.

It's puzzling that the project manager determines the final salary and doesn't align it with your current earnings. If there were budget constraints, this should have been communicated in advance to prevent the unnecessary waste of time. The entire interview process consisted of three rounds:

  • The initial stage involved an online test on HackerRank.
  • The second round was a virtual interview covering topics such as Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Kafka, microservices, SQL, and NoSQL.
  • The final round was conducted by the project manager.
