Process
Staffing agency Experis offered the contract job with very weird contract termination conditions on behalf of IBM.
Experis may terminate these terms of engagement with immediate effect (without any payment in lieu of notice).
At any time prior to the commencement of the Project Period for any reason.
While signing the contract, I raised concerns about this clause, but they mentioned that it never happens and is just a statement in the contract. However, they terminated the contract 4-5 days before the start date with a wage excuse, stating that the end client was not looking to continue the contract.
I was relocating from London to Preston and had booked a flat there. I had also resigned from my current work, and then they left me in a mess without any compensation by highlighting the above clause. I would not recommend Experis or IBM to any contractor.
