Pros: There are a lot of projects and products to work on, and you get exposure to working on enterprise software for global markets.
Cons: The company is shortsighted and is basically a giant people mill. A few bubble to the top and are rewarded well; the rest are supposed to be satisfied with the glory of working for IBM.
As a good performer, you are treated in an average to poor way. It is highly political because of this mechanic.
Work-life balance isn't a reality, even though it is discussed all the time.

Pros: IBM has great benefits: full medical, vision, and dental. They also match up to 6% on 401K contributions. There are no copays for wellness visits.
Cons: The morale of the employees is very low. One bad quarter ends up resulting in layoffs.
There is no training for employees and almost no career development.
