Process
The overall experience was very good.
Round 1: Round 1 is an Aptitude round conducted on the Amcat platform. This round consists of four sections:
- Quant (24 questions, 35 minutes)
- Logical (25 questions, 35 minutes)
- Code debugging (7 questions, 20 minutes)
- Essay question (15 minutes)
Round 2: Based on your performance, you are eligible for either the GenC Next interview or the GenC interview. I was selected for GenC.
The interview was scheduled for two weeks after the exam. We received our interview emails one day prior.

Slow Pace, Old Ways Frustrating

Pros: It's slow-paced, and a lot of managers aren't really involved. They just do their own thing.
Cons: Most people here have been here a while, and most without engineering degrees since they didn't exist back then.
They do things here their own way, and these lifetime employees are the team leads and management. This makes it really hard for new grads in engineering to come in and learn.
It's also incredibly difficult to bring in new tools, get acceptance for new tools, and to get the team to automate things. It's also difficult to do object-oriented programming on legacy systems, and one has to follow the team's coding style right down to the comments, so you end up being a depressed, underpaid code monkey.
