Pros: - Broad latitude to work with the technologies that interest me.
- Plenty of opportunity for self-improvement.
- Relatively low stress/pressure.
Cons: - Frequent directional pivots due to internal politicking and reactionism.
- Difficult to get promoted, even when deserved.
- A lot of the work I'm given doesn't seem that valuable to the company.

Pros: Good managerial board, excellent long-term perspective, a wide range of fields to work on, many people to go to when you need something, and a very high technical level in some areas, like software development.
Cons: Worst place if you are an open, "fresh" mind guy. A new hire takes long years to get good raises and to start changing positions, but after a while, it gets better.
