I applied online and received an email the following day from a recruiter within the company. I was told to complete a three-hour online exam. The recruiter said I could email him if I had any questions.
I had a few questions before starting, so I emailed him, but never received a response. I completed the online exam the following day. The exam was quite bizarre; there was no one present, and I had to record my answers by speaking into my webcam. It also included three coding questions.
About a week and a half later, I received an email from the same recruiter. He stated that I had passed the online exam and would call me within 48 hours to schedule an online whiteboard interview with one of their engineers.
I never received a call from the recruiter, and any emails I sent to him were met with radio silence. This was very unprofessional.
I spent three hours completing their HireVue exam, so I at least expected a follow-up email from the recruiter indicating they had changed their mind or some other explanation, instead of just being ignored.
