Pros: If you get on the right project, IBM can be a great place to work and develop. Generally, you have a lot of freedom to work how and where you want, and there are lots of smart engineers in the company. When I was there, it was a good place to start your career.
Cons: The problem is continuing your career. Depending on location, opportunities to progress are likely to be limited, or none. You can move projects, but forget promotion.
Senior management seemed to be more occupied with share options than genuinely growing the company, though I believe this has now changed.

Pros: There are several courses available to take for free (Udemy Business and others).
Good benefits.
Lots of content access for professional growth.
IBM Brazil is very close-knit.
Technically very good colleagues.
A good place for those looking to build a career and opt for stability.
Cons: - Courses that are not used in practice.
- They try in every way to force you to take courses to meet the goal of X people with Y courses.
- Need to take courses that are not relevant.
- There is no path to get promoted, and no one in the company knows.
- Because it is very large, many things in the company take a long time to happen (every 6 months).
- "Figure it out yourself" culture.
- Non-competitive salaries.
