Pros

IBM offers training which you would be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. They will pay for as many certifications as you have the ability and desire to learn. The people are kind, and it is an environment where mistakes are seen as a gateway to knowledge.

Great benefits.

Cons

Cons: There would be lower than average pay for the field. But, they offer you many career-boosting benefits, so it's worth the lower pay for a few years if you can afford it.

Advice to Management

Raise pay, improve staffing interview process.

When the economy is slow, give layoffs rather than poor-performance dismissals.

Be honest. Be ethical.
