Some of the best people I have ever worked with.
Other than management, everyone in the CIC is like one big family.
The great wealth of talent in one place is astonishing!
Utilisation: The main focus is to get on a project as soon as possible, even if it's not relevant to the career you want to pursue. For example, a developer may be placed on a testing project or even an admin role.
No focus on career development: There is very little training, and when it is given, you never actually get to put the skills you may have learned into working practice on a relevant project.
Management: A good manager is one that treats their employees as equals. There is a distinct lack of trust between managers and employees.
People leaving every week: Given the above reasons, there has been a steady stream of departures from the company. Someone leaving every week makes everyone in the company consider whether it is worth staying and puts a lot of doubt in the minds of all employees.
Travel: Advertised as based in Leicester, but hardly anyone works in Leicester for more than two weeks in a month. If you are willing to travel every other week, it may be the place for you, but when you have family and children, being forced to travel is not ideal.
Focus on the career development of us employees so that we can pursue a career we dreamed of pursuing during university.
Look at the wealth of talent you have within the CIC and find a way of nurturing and developing it.
Focus on employee retention, not restriction. Value your employees' contributions and help them start and develop their careers.
There will be 4 rounds for IBM GBS. * 1st HR call: Self-introduction, normal HR questions. * 2nd: Technical interview. * 3rd: Manager call along with some technical questions. * 4th: Salary discussion.
It had two rounds. A technical round followed by an HR round. The technical round was based on skills, experience, and projects. The HR round was based on my expectations and situational questions.
These people are just wasting candidates' time in the name of hiring. All those who are giving negative reviews about the IBM hiring process are right. Please don't waste your time with these people; they have no plans to hire.
