Working at home keeps me liking this job. When I start feeling it is not the place to be, I look around and find that it doesn't get much better anywhere else, especially in the geographical area that I hope to remain in through my retirement.
I don't think my salary/vacation can be matched while I still enjoy the benefits of saving travel time to the office on a regular basis. I believe you are always respectfully treated and the management is as honest as they can be.
There was a time when job security was a big deal here.
I do not believe that is any longer as prominent as it once was. I don't believe IBM is as committed as they once were to their employees, but then again, what company is these days?
I am a bit dismayed at the recent resource actions taken, as there were folks let go that were needed and wanted. The flip of that is there were probably folks kept that were not (wanted).
My advice would be to senior management: they might want to reconsider the bell curve philosophy of ranking folks. It is likely that this method will lead to the elimination of folks who are very good and needed for what they do.
Smooth interview process, terrible recruiters though. Recruiters ghosted me for a month post the final interview. Did not even receive any feedback, despite the hiring manager giving a verbal offer in the final round. Extremely frustrating process
Three rounds of interviews for experienced candidates: * Written technical * Face-to-face technical * Managerial
The interview process was fairly standard. However, unlike what would be considered normal, the interviewer constantly interrupted me if I started to give an answer they may not have been expecting. This really messed with my train of thought and mad
