As long as you're not an IBM GTS employee or a GBS employee like me working on an IBM GTS project, everything else looks fine.
As a GBS Employee, you have a lot of perks like:
There's no clear-cut demarcation that IBM GBS employees working with GTS clients (future NewCo) will continue to be IBM GBS employees and support NewCo projects. This is not fair for a GBS employee who had to sit for an arduous coding interview only to be considered later (if taken under NewCo without consent) along with GTS associates, who would have joined with a non-coding background. All the sleepless nights spent on studying, toiling, and studying numerous frameworks and languages in efforts to bear a good brand name on their resume would all be gone in a single minute. It's such a morale-pulling act during these bleak COVID times.
Let GBS employees working in GTS projects continue to work under IBM GBS, since we bring to the table a gamut of coding skills garnering higher revenue for the company. Consider this as this spin-off is unrolling.
Got a call from a recruiter. They asked the basic questions, and the interview was scheduled. There was one technical round and one managerial round. The technical round went well. However, the manager was literally an idiot. Instead of discussing
Just got to the first round of coding. There are two questions to do in one hour. The first question was related to SQL and involved handling queries about employee locations and salary.
The process was clear and fast. I was contacted by the recruiting team of IBM. The interview was scheduled based on my availability. I believe the interview went well from my side, as I positively answered 80 percent of the questions of which I am
