Depending on the manager, your Checkpoint evaluation will happen only once a year. The manager will know nothing about what you did during the year, and the rates are generic. There is no career plan. They request for some internal certification that will only work to hold you in your current position. If you don't have it, they will say this is the reason, but if you have it, they will not take any action.
Be close to the staff and collect feedback. Managers usually live their own lives, very far from the employees.
