Pros
  • Access to infinite resources to learn, grow, and innovate.
  • Excellent retention and work-life balance for a Big Corp/tech company.
  • Excellent parental leave benefits.
  • Relatively easy to change teams and move to areas of emerging technologies.
Cons

As is the case for most big companies, if your group or team projects are less exciting and less revenue-generating outside of R&D, you won't have a pleasant ride.

Advice to Management

Encourage cross-group/team projects. Whether these are client-related projects, open source, or research.

We have some of the brightest minds in the industry who can get stuck doing repetitive tasks and not using their full potential.

The Coachme platform is good, but we need something more project-based where people can launch a project and have other employees pitch in. Each employee could have a few hours a month dedicated to such activities.

Many great features and products were developed by other companies doing this.
