Large company with relatively big aspirational projects.
Project scopes are limited. It all depends on who you know, not what you know. This is a thriving place for racist people that like to play politics every day. The level of bigotry is rampant. You can openly hear people talking crap about non-whites in the office, during induction, and in meetings. The managers don't care; on many occasions, they are party to it. Managers like to form cliques so they can get good performance reviews. Career growth is dependent on how good your manager is. Managers are very distrustful of and threatened by non-whites in the workplace. They don't like to promote them in more hands-on roles or even roles of leadership. Racism, hate, biases, discrimination, and abuse are rampant across the organization. Most interesting projects will not be given to non-whites, and generally, they will be overlooked for bonuses, increments, and promotions.
Managers don't listen, so there's no point giving them any advice. They are completely out of touch with the reality that is played out in the organizational workplace.
Different than the industry. You must know someone inside. Applying through regular channels doesn't work most of the time. The Human Resources department representative did not show up for any interviews. Benefits information and general informat
IBM is a very collaborative and fun workplace. The leadership is great, and this company really cares for its staff. It is a fast-paced environment, yet everyone is willing to lend a hand to a fellow coworker at any time. Was this review helpful? I
A very common interview, but not outstanding.
