Due to the pandemic, IBM's internship program was completely remote, but that didn't stop them from making it great. There wasn't as much intern interaction as previous years, but they still did a great job of organizing social events.
The work environment is also awesome; the people who work here are all very kind and willing to help with any questions you may have.
I also like the way they run the program because, rather than giving the interns a separate project of their own, they put us into teams that are working on actual IBM projects. It has been a great way for me to learn more about the work I would actually be doing once I graduate.
Some people view the size of the company as a downside because there are just so many people and departments that it's hard to stand out. There also seems to be a high retention rate of workers. A lot of people who work here tend to stay here for a very long time, so there is low turnover.
During my interview at IBM, I was mostly asked technical questions around React, Redux, and their implementations. There was no coding involved. The interview process was very smooth with very generous and humble seniors, who were very leniently ask
The interview was good. IBM is real after finding talent that's a cultural fit and making the opportunity for professional growth available. The interviewer made sure I was comfortable with the process. They also give good feedback as well.
The coding test was a little difficult. After coding, there are 2 rounds.
