IBM is a cornerstone in creating a very diverse place to work, and that is one of the reasons I was attracted to working here. It's the first place I was ever out from the beginning and have always been and will always be. I'm proud to work for such an inclusive and supportive company.
In working for such a large company with nearly 400,000 people, you sometimes feel like a number.
Pay more attention to the people that make the company work. The people at the lower levels and eliminate some of the middle layers of management. There are too many managers getting in the way of the work at times. If you want to save money, get rid of some layers of management.
I was given a tour of the facility and interviewed with several different managers and engineers. I was also taken to lunch. I gave a presentation of my prior work and had several props. I even gave one prop to my host engineer; he loved it so much
On-campus interview with a hiring manager. Subsequent "seconds" rounds will be on-site. IBM's hardware division was recently sold to Global Foundries, so I'm unsure of the next steps.
It was a great experience. Your interviewer will be looking to see that you meet the requirements of the role. Always explain to the interviewer what you are writing or typing during a code interview.
