Understanding that things take longer in a large organization, and there are lots of processes that need to evolve quickly, becomes a challenge. This requires patience and urgency in large quantity at the same time.

Communication is key. It's not just about more, but better and specifically more efficient.

All business processes should be diagrammed at an appropriate level. Not all has to be known up front, and one size does not need to fit all.

What should be there is a relationship map between different processes and well-described business value for each process (that's being implemented) and each team.
