Work culture is good. No need to care about politics unless you fear. Just do your work.
No need to answer every idiot's idiotic questions; be daring. No one is higher authority above you except for office decisions. Simply do your work; don't care about anyone.
Mostly, you face issues with people managers (rare situations) who have nothing to do with your projects. When you are really uncomfortable, simply change your location. They will assign you a new people manager automatically.

For contract employees, you will never get a chance to become permanent unless a miracle happens or there's a very high demand for your technology, because it's a loss for them.
So, don't believe your vendor because they will lie to you, saying you may become permanent. So don't bother about it – it's their duty to lie. :) But IBM is good.

The interview process was easy to go through. First was an online test, then one telephonic interview, followed by a face-to-face interview, and then a managerial round. Finally, there was an HR interview, all on the same day.
