Pros

Hybrid setup.

I can’t think of any more pros. They may have tons of trainings, but the relevant ones only open up if you’re no longer probationary.

Cons

Disclaimer: This review is for the IBM CIC-PH Quezon City office only.

  1. Long working hours (9 to 10 hours) is the standard.
  2. Mandatory trainings must be taken during your non-working hours.
  3. Management is toxic and a serial gaslighter (told me everyone took their mandatory trainings outside office hours so I should have done the same).
  4. No OT pay.
  5. I was assigned to a not-so-good project with a very tight schedule. The project started late, so we had to catch up.
  6. My manager did not open 1-on-1 sessions with me until the 4th month.
  7. No work-life balance.
  8. Mediocre benefits and retirement plan.
  9. I may or may not have been sabotaged from the signing of “Conflict of Interest” by being told I missed the deadline, even though I told them I never received any emails regarding it. It was also the main reason they did not regularize me.
  10. The team lead manipulated the WBS to adjust my tasks to an earlier schedule without notifying me.
  11. We have to catch up on leaves and holidays.
  12. There’s plenty more, but you get the point that this company has its issues.
Advice to Management
