Cons

Probably the project I was hired for was not the best one, hence my bad experience. Also, I had worked there only for 3 months, so take my review with a grain of salt.

I was brought into the project, which was already way past the delivery date, and they were trying to meet the deadlines very actively because of incompetent project management.

Over-engineered work, which made no sense; hiring cheap developers from around the world and expecting them to produce crazy results without giving a proper introduction to the project and tools.

Asking to work overtime in the first week itself, although they paid for it.

Mind-numbing and repetitive work. The unit testing done was just running functions without any assertions, so the report came out as green.

Advice to Management

As the saying goes, you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

The region I worked for and the managers I worked with had no idea how to manage a tech project. It was clearly a mess, and they were trying to save their own butts. The stand-up calls were as messed up as they can get. People who couldn't even communicate properly were added to the project. When I refused to lead an incompetent team, I had a call with one of the leads who told me I shouldn't run away from opportunities. That's when I decided not to extend my initial contract with them.

The management style is still very old school and corporate, which is very un-tech-like. Although my experience was with a very small amount of people, so I can't say anything about the company as a whole.
