Team members, particularly the junior team members, weren't friendly to interns and didn't make them feel welcome. The team was not the right culture fit for me. My own mentor once said to me, "Why don't you understand?!" when she was explaining something to me and I told her I didn't get it. She made me feel degraded, and it was an open office environment where others could hear.

Be mindful of what you say. There are interns around, and they get an idea of the culture just by listening to what you say about your co-workers, regardless of them having worked 10+ years and you having a friendly relationship with them. How you speak about others shows your character and displays the company's culture if it's tolerating it.
