Very friendly and understanding management.
Great work/life balance, flexible hours.
Interesting work, at least at first.
IBM makes a great effort at keeping employees, encouraging them to move between departments rather than leaving.
Senior management is very open and gladly provides guidance even for novice employees.
Some departments are slower/less prioritized than others, meaning work is less interesting.
Limited benefits.
Sometimes being under the influence of the global IBM can be a nuisance.
I had four interviews: * Technical * Manager * Senior Manager * HR The first interview was pretty short but essential. The second, with the manager, included design and general questions, as well as personality questions to get to know me.
Interviewed through a recruiter. Had three rounds: * One with HR * One with management * One with two developers They were all very friendly and easygoing. It wasn't stressful at all. Haven't heard back yet.
It was smooth and very easy. I cleared it easily. There were few database questions, only. They asked me about algorithms as well, and I was able to answer them. I was expecting very difficult questions.
