Pros
  • Flexible schedule depending on manager. Able to work from home sometimes.

  • Large number of vacation days and holidays that are instantly available (don't have to wait to accrue).

  • Well-developed business practices with regards to software development.

Cons

• Lots of legacy code. • While the processes are good to prevent bad code, it sometimes means slow software development cycles. • Many levels of management can stifle innovation. • Small semi-annual layoffs.

Advice to Management

Make the company more attractive and exciting to young, smart engineers before all the older employees retire and take all their decades of knowledge with them.
