Really great people and relationships made here.
IBmers are very open to helping each other.
Work/life balance is fantastic.
Lots of opportunity for growth.
Using proprietary tools can hinder the opportunity to learn new, relevant technologies.
Pay and benefits are very low compared to other tech companies.
IBM is losing a lot of great talent and opportunities for great talent to other tech companies. IBM should offer a more competitive salary and work environment package to attract, retain, and reward the employees that make the company so great.
I had a technical assessment online, which included both an algorithm component and an HTML/CSS web development component. The process was pretty straightforward overall, nothing too crazy. They even had a practice test available.
The interview process included technical challenges, a technical interview, and then a behavioral interview. I found the technical challenges/initial tests to be quite tedious, and the technical interview/coding challenge portion to be intimidating.
I went directly to a technical interview and didn't have a behavioral interview. It was a LeetCode-style question. A single individual conducted the interview; it was a medium/hard question. The interviewer was not very helpful in answering questions
