Pros
  1. Excellent and generous trainings. They provide many slots in training certifications. They also provide MBA scholarships, but I didn't take them because of the 2-year bond.

  2. Lenient - They want to be strict with our core hours, but the client is output-based. I have time to sleep after our break. We are not required to document our time and tasks.

Cons
  1. Layoff - Since I joined in 2016, it's not uncommon for the company to fire employees who are on the bench. Even good, competent employees get rolled-off from projects and are later laid off.

  2. Poor incentives. Even if I had high ratings, I didn't receive incentives and didn't get a salary increase.

Advice to Management

IBM Solutions Delivery (ISD) has been drained of good talent. As the saying goes, 'pay for the bananas to get the monkeys.' Unfortunately, ISD has obsessed itself with cost-saving rather than value creation. I suggest retaining top talents who will lead technical projects and create more jobs.
