A shadow of its past. IBM has so many all-star employees that would do anything for their customers, but the company just does not seem to value that part of the business.

Work until you have been totally spent; it's not about quality, it's about numbers. Oh, then wait until your number is called and you are sent packing. Then hope that you get a half-decent package.

Difficult to be loyal to a company that is simply going by the numbers, outsourcing many jobs, then comes up with excuses to not give bonuses.

They have a five-point scale: 1, 2+, 2, 3, 4 (1 being god-like). Most fall into the 2 area, with the occasional 2+. This just makes everyone equal and is not a great way to show the differences.

Establish a better review system based on a 10-point scale or something similar. Many pins and needles when an RA is rumored; nobody is safe.
