Pros

Brand name to get associated with. Flexible working hours, which after a long time work against employees. Option of working remotely.

Cons

This may not hold true for the entire lot working out there. It is based on my experience with a bunch of people working in the NCR region.

This place is full of incompetent, unfair managers who lack professionalism in a big way.

No feedback is given on the performance of employees. The general rule of thumb is the more you flatter, the more benefits you earn.

There is no such thing as a Human Resources department or an employee grievances cell. People managers have all the power, and they make wrong use of it.

There is no clarity, nothing is transparent; different rules apply for different people.

An employee with commendable technical ability and proven excellent performance may be declared the lowest contributor by tagging silly reasons like a phone number missing in the signature of your email.

My advice is not to look up to anyone for help when having issues with your seniors. If you do, your name will be openly declared to the entire world, and then you will have to face the consequences.

And in case you are looking for role models, this is not the right place. You will surely never like to be one of those around.

Advice to Management

Please look into the details.

Do not give power to some people managers to screw employees' careers.

Work extra. Hiring managers, you need to get real good managers.

At least one person representing HRD, other than people managers, is needed at each location. When a people manager is not helping, employees feel helpless as all other managers are working remotely.
