Relatively easy online coding test and enough time to finish, so there's no need to rush.

However, the descriptions can be unclear. I made the wrong assumption about the input parameter data and wrote my algorithm based on that. My algorithm did exactly what I wanted to do and was quite efficient too. But, it turned out because I made a slightly off assumption, I was actually solving the problem in a wrong way.

I take this as part of my oversight and the fault of how the question was worded. Seriously, you could have just explained exactly how the input parameters are structured.
