Very good pay (although not as good as competitors).
Very down-to-earth way of working which teaches you a lot as a junior.
Nice building.
IMC doesn't really force you to do extra hours which is a plus in that industry (although you will most-likely do extra).
Also, as a junior, you get a 5-week training which was truly a great time.
Whether you will have a great time heavily depends on the team you are put in.
In some teams, there is heavy pressure on the junior devs, with a lot of turnover. Most of these junior devs are too shy to say no to work and are heavily taken advantage of, as managers tend to make everything "urgent". A lot of people end up stressing out a lot during their entire first year, as if it were normal to start a job with heavy pressure.
A lot of employees are on temporary visas, which does not help with the pressure to keep the job. Also, I have heard of hazing in some teams in the Chicago office.
Hierarchy should put as much trust in junior devs as they do in managers, and make sure that the teams have actual good relationships.
Stop making juniors scared to be fired, but rather motivated to keep on working on exciting projects.
First, you have to submit a cover letter and a CV. Then, you need to answer a question like “Why this role and company & why you”. There is a HackerRank test. Make sure you are well prepared and not disturbed during those few hours.
5 rounds - first an online aptitude test, then a short motivation interview with HR (why them, why tech etc). Online coding test on Codility for algorithms, and also a coding test to send to them based around basic OOP concepts. Skype interview wit
A long process of 6 rounds in total. First, a home assignment implementing a rock, paper, scissors game. Then, a technical interview, a live coding assignment, a lead interview, an HR interview, and another technical interview. Got through them all
