Had a phone call with a recruiter. They were just checking my experience and briefing me on the interview process.
I passed the first round phone interview and was supposed to proceed to an on-site interview. However, I was asked by the hiring manager to do an extra JavaScript assignment.
I finished the assignment in about two days but received a rejection a few days later. The rejection reason was not very convincing.
Overall, I don't feel it was a fair interview. I think they don't really have a standard for the assignment. Be prepared that you may just be helping them test their interview process. There must be a reason that a lot of interview feedbacks are negative.
