Pros: Great pay, great benefits, great work/life balance, and interesting work. Overall, a great place to work. Inclusive to almost everybody, except conservatives and gun owners.

Cons: As a woman who's been attacked before, I have a concealed carry license and always carry my gun in my purse. They won't let me do that here. It makes me feel very vulnerable. I'm not worried about any of my coworkers. (Everyone's really great!) I'm worried about criminals coming in and hurting me. Or someone hiding in the parking lot waiting to kidnap me on the way to my car, like last time. But they don't care about any of that. They just want to virtue signal about being a "safe" gun-free zone.

Pros: Unlimited PTO. Healthcare is great.

Cons: Takes awhile to move up.

Cons: Inadequate coordination and management across teams. Consistent grievances from various teams under all GMs, citing redundancy in tasks among multiple teams (an inward focus is deemed more detrimental than an outward one). Ongoing challenges in Japan vs. US collaboration. The US management's emphasis on increasing employee count as an achievement was a central theme, with pride in phrases like "I expanded the team to X". Subpar middle to senior management, lacking fundamental understanding of management principles (such as operational leverage and project management). The management tends to excessively micromanage experienced engineers, allocating specific tasks and dictating their actions, which is not an efficient use of time.
