I applied online and then had an initial call. The recruiter provided background information on the company and details about available roles. This was followed by a standard data structures and algorithms technical screen conducted via HackerRank.
Next, I participated in an onsite interview. This included a 3-hour technical assessment, a system design/architecture session, and several one-on-one conversations with team members. I was given the option to complete the 3-hour assessment, which was a HackerRank test with two coding problems, at home.
The onsite began with an office tour. The system design session involved a whiteboarding exercise, and the remaining sessions primarily focused on behavioral questions.
Throughout the entire process, the recruiter was very helpful and responsive. Although I did not receive an offer, I want to commend Instacart recruiting for their outstanding support. They took the time afterward to call me, provide feedback from each interviewer, and offer tips for my future interviews.
