I had a recruiter call first, followed by a technical phone screen.
The recruiter call was pleasant, but the technical interviewer was not paying attention past the first minute.
Her Slack notifications kept going off, and I could hear her typing. She stated it was a multi-part interview, but she did not timebox any of the parts, so I began doing it for her.
The question was very simple, but I was confused when she asked me to code out every single test case I described. All engineers know tests are tedious and a time sink to write, so I'm not sure why she asked me to do it in a multi-part interview setting.
We ran out of time after all of the test cases I had to write, so she simply said, "Looks like you're out of time" and hung up.
This was definitely one of the worst interview experiences I've had.
NDA -- but it looks like everyone had the same question, based on other interview reviews.
