Process
The interviewer did not have a good understanding of the tool they were using. The "stand-in" prompt had conflicting instructions with what they actually wanted to happen, and they did not understand when I asked them about it.
Eventually, I had to piece together their confusion, as well as mine, to move forward.
Communicating remotely already adds a layer of complexity, so I wish that phone screens were performed by those who had stronger communication skills.
