It used to have Quarterly Performance Bonuses, a bonus QPB+ for top performers & good base pay.
Layoffs & compensation reductions. The company is gradually trimming bonuses and benefits for its employees (no merit compensation QPB & QPB+, no award recognition, 5% base compensation reduction, overall ~20% compensation reduction).
In fewer words, less pay for more work.
You need to do better planning for your positions and be straightforward and honest with the responsibilities of the work. I was hired to work in a specialized field, solving problems and building demos. I ended up being customer service for Intel general tooling with a massive amount of cases.
I lost my technical lead (no technical progression from here on) and was assigned all the tech lead responsibilities without an increase in pay (now with a 20% compensation cut).
Management expects us to get onboard with the program because "trust, teamwork, we're family & we're saving jobs." At the same time, the dividend for shareholders hasn't gone down.
Disappointing, to say the least.
Phone screen intelligence test. Boring 10-hour day. A couple of intelligence tests. Confrontation interviews were very stupid.
First, I got some basic binary exercises via email and sent them two days later. Then, I got an interview on-site and have been interviewed for three different teams.
Fresh Graduate Interview: Ask about basic logic gate and digital system topics. For example, ask about the output of combinations of logic gates (AND, XOR, flip-flops, clock). Inquire whether candidates have experience with Verilog/VHDL code.
