Good projects that challenge you technically.
Extremely poor management. Most of the managers in STTD are technically inept. People have won Achievement awards for technology that doesn't even work. Hundreds of millions of dollars have been spent on it.
One manager in particular is extremely loud and obnoxious and has the worst employee retention rate. If you are buddies with the senior management, then you are okay. I have seen employees that actually invented and implemented some really good technology being laid off because a few managers targeted them in the yearly review. If you are a new engineer, try to avoid this group. Senior managers use your work to gain recognition, and you don't get much in return.
Read the cons.
Arrived in the morning. 1-hour presentation to the people in the area, then moved to a cafe for two 1:1 meetings. Lunch with the engineer representative followed. After lunch, there were two 1:1 meetings to wrap up and wait for results.
An Intel representative came to the school to conduct interviews with some students and talk about the company. The interviewer was nice. He asked me to talk about myself, and then he asked me all technical questions related to microprocessors.
Stop and start. There was a long delay between being recruited, the phone screen, and the next step. After the second step, I pretty much forgot about the process. I dealt with different people in each step.
