Easy to WFH.
Generous benefits (used to be).
Time off limited by Mgr (sick leave unlimited, within reason).
Generally easy to float into new position during layoff.
No upward movement: Promotions blocked by poor company performance, apathetic managers, and layoffs (lateral moves only, even with stellar performance reports for years behind you).
Company politics (managers promoting each other, competing with the same kinds of solutions, backbiting after leaving a group despite stellar performance reports).
Diversity is mandatory, unless you're white (get ignored/skipped over for more "diverse" individuals in everything).
Stop having so many layers of management. Nobody who actually does the work can get promoted to where they deserve to be.
Applied online. Had a 1:1 phone interview. General questions were asked, not technical details.
Interviewed twice within the past year. Both times I had a bad experience with HR: * The first time, they took 6 months to respond. * The second time, they set up an interview for a job I didn't apply for directly.
Initially planned for 8 interviewers, then was scaled back to 4. After working out a coverage plan for the time I’d be away, a few of the interviews were held in a conference room while the others were in the cafeteria (lots of noise and distractions
