Pros

Intel has an excellent focus on their core business: building processors. Their bonus program pays twice a year consistently. There is a high degree of job stability. The change from stock options to restricted stock units was a move in the right direction, considering that Intel is no longer a growth company.

Cons

If you are not a staff engineer or higher, the compensation is better elsewhere.

There is also an extreme political bias towards individuals with advanced degrees.

There is a corporate culture that you should feel honored simply by being employed by Intel. This leads to dissatisfaction simply due to the ease by which a better-paying position at an employer that actually recognizes one's contributions can be found.

Advice to Management

Recognize that Intel does not have the prestige it had in the 90's.
