Lots of different kinds of projects. Very smart co-workers. Decent food in the cafe. Relatively flat hierarchy.
Work/life balance totally depends on your team. Lots of old-school people in management think work is life. There is really no incentive for hard work either, other than getting a pat on the back and hearing someone say 'Good job'.
Excessive meetings seem to be ingrained in the company culture. Most days, at least 2-3 hours were spent in meetings. Everything is a 3-4 letter acronym, and it gets old quick.
Job stability is so-so, with lots of hiring freezes and canceled projects. Death marches are extremely common here, as there is a major disconnect between management and production when it comes to software. Lots of projects are pushed through at the last second only to be canceled the following week.
Stop the excessive meetings. Agile/Scrum doesn't fix everything. Try to make the place less 'Office-Space'-ey. Listen to your developers.
Phone interview, about 40 minutes. Make sure you are ready for the interview. Do some research and practice your programming questions. Make sure you know how to describe the projects you have done.
HR contacted me with an interview opportunity through campus. You can select which area(s) you are interested in interviewing for. There were two rounds of interviews, and I only went through the first round.
I was asked a lot of questions about my projects, and I answered them all. However, it was not enough for them, although I explained in detail.
