Pros
  • Cutting-edge projects.
  • Compensation is excellent: base salary, annual bonus, quarterly bonus, RSUs, and profit sharing.
  • Medical & Dental are good.
  • They really do care about their employees and are willing to invest in training & tuition.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
  • Extremely smart colleagues raise the bar for you every day.
Cons

The company is looking for direction in the post-PC era and is struggling to find its way.

Many organizations are working on the same thing, which causes confusion and conflict.

Its core business is declining. While still a $40+ billion company, the high-margin business of the past is not going to last forever.

The matrix-based organization and overall size do not allow for fast-moving development.

Advice to Management

The new CEO and President are doing a great job so far, moving the company towards mobile and the Internet of Things. Keep doing what you are doing.
