Pros: Great benefits, strives to make a good place to work, with lots of perks (when I was there).

Cons: Red tape, large teams of 10+ people in an engineering pod.

Pros: Competitive pay, excellent benefits, and a great facility. Many technical staff members are extremely skilled in their profession.

Cons: Poor planning, same mistakes made year over year, unwillingness to invest in maintaining & improving internal systems. Poorly managed projects result in minor catastrophes every year. If not for the highly skilled technical staff, the issues would be far more apparent to our customers. Quick to embrace "fad" business trends such as process excellence/Six Sigma and using Project Management Professionals (PMPs) only to abandon them when they fail. The Project Management Office is nothing more than a group of non-technical staff who are supposed to "manage" technical projects, but are really nothing more than fancy secretaries that track time and create more problems than they solve. Marketing and product management teams rely heavily on IT to solve problems created by their own incompetence.

Pros: Good benefits, vacation, and sick days. Higher end total compensation. Good work-life balance depending on team/project. Internal mobility is highly encouraged. Culture and people are the best things about the company. Fast-paced and interesting projects depending on team.

Cons: Tech debt is not a priority, and lots of legacy systems are hanging around. Upper leadership is clueless about the product and disconnected with the user base. There's a lack of long-term planning -- pivots and reorgs happen often. Teams are often in silos and only push for features to get promoted.
