Pros

Competitive pay, excellent benefits, and a great facility. Many technical staff members are extremely skilled in their profession.

Cons

Poor planning, same mistakes made year over year, unwillingness to invest in maintaining & improving internal systems.

Poorly managed projects result in minor catastrophes every year. If not for the highly skilled technical staff, the issues would be far more apparent to our customers.

Quick to embrace "fad" business trends such as process excellence/Six Sigma and using Project Management Professionals (PMPs) only to abandon them when they fail.

The Project Management Office is nothing more than a group of non-technical staff who are supposed to "manage" technical projects, but are really nothing more than fancy secretaries that track time and create more problems than they solve.

Marketing and product management teams rely heavily on IT to solve problems created by their own incompetence.

Advice to Management

Intuit Global must make headway soon, or the US will divest itself of its Canadian and UK offices.
