Recruiter screen followed by a phone interview.
I was asked a LeetCode hard question and explained my solution.
The interviewer then asked me to implement it.
After spending 40 minutes implementing my solution (while she was on mute the whole time), she asked me to change the implementation to how she wanted it.
My solution was working and had the same efficiency.
After scrambling for the next 20 minutes to change the implementation, time ran out.
If you don't like a solution, you should say so or at least discuss it with the candidate.
Total waste of time.
