I applied online.
The first interview was a phone screen with HR. The role was for a Software Architect (SA) on their new enterprise product. They mentioned the team was not yet built and they were still figuring out the specifics of the role.
Based on the job description, I believed I was qualified, except for not having extensive QuickBooks experience. They asked about my salary expectations, and I confirmed that my expectations were within the posted range.
The recruiter stated they would pass my resume and notes to the hiring manager. If the hiring manager was interested, the next steps would be a video interview with them, followed by a panel interview that included a case study and presentation.
A few days later, I received a non-descriptive rejection email. I presume the hiring manager did not find my resume or the recruiter's feedback suitable.
